Tickets for a long-awaited showdown between the Qantas Wallabies and Ireland in Brisbane on Saturday, 26 June, go on sale tomorrow through Ticketek with prices starting at $49 for adults, $25 for children and family packages from $98.
The Suncorp Stadium clash, part of the Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series, will be the first time the two nations have met since the Irish extinguished Australian hopes of a Grand Slam triumph in Europe last November.
A last minute try through skipper Brian O'Driscoll enabled the Irish to steal a 20-all draw at Croke Park in Dublin after the Qantas Wallabies had the previous week seen off England at Twickenham.
While the Irish squad has yet to be finalised for their Down Under tour, the June visit is certain to be headlined by O'Driscoll and several world-class teammates who carried the Irish to an unbeaten year in 2009.
They will confront a Qantas Wallabies outfit determined to transform potential into consistently successful performances throughout 2010.
"This Test against the Irish promises to be one of the highlights of a very exciting Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series program," said ARU Managing Director and CEO John O'Neill.
"Ireland was considered the best side in Europe in 2009. They won the Six Nations Championship, taking the Grand Slam with five successive victories, and finished the year unbeaten after also taking on Australia and South Africa during the November Test window.
"The Qantas Wallabies were stung by their draw in Dublin and Brisbane offers the opportunity go one better."
Tickets for the four Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series Tests to be played in June starting with Fiji, followed by the two matches with England and a one-off game against Ireland will go on sale to the general public tomorrow (Tuesday, 11 May).
Tickets for the two Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series midweek games against England in Perth and Gosford will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, 19 May.
Tickets for the Bundaberg Rum Tri Nations matches to be played in Australia (two against the All Blacks and one with the Springboks) will go on general sale to the public on Tuesday, 29 June.
