Queensland Police would like to advise the public that there could be significant traffic delays around the Brisbane Central Business District (CBD) and Suncorp Stadium areas tomorrow evening.
The National Rugby League game between the Brisbane Broncos and the St George- Illawarra Dragons has been brought forward from 7.30 to 6.30pm.
Deputy Commissioner Ian Stewart said "People working in the CBD late tomorrow afternoon should be also aware there could be extra traffic congestion compared to normal and to try and avoid the area at this time if possible."
"There will be plenty of public transport available for people to utilise to and from the game. Travelling by motor vehicle should be avoided if possible.
"A large crowd is expected for the game, combined with usual peak hour traffic and people setting off for a weekend at the coast will mean there could be large delays.
Police are asking that people attending the game to pre-plan their trip into the stadium and allow plenty of extra time to travel.
"Motorist that get stuck in traffic are being urged to remain patient and drive to the conditions," Deputy Commissioner Stewart said.
