Patrons attending this Friday's blockbuster between the Brisbane Broncos and North Queensland Cowboys are advised the normal event transport services will be in place to and from Suncorp Stadium.
The relevant public transport providers have advised Stadium Management there will be sufficient numbers of bus and rail services to accommodate a crowd of more than 45,000 at Stadium.
"Even though there is another major event being held at the Gabba on the same night, we are confident that our patrons will notice little or no difference from a usual Friday night match however patrons should leave for the venue earlier than usual as patrons will have to contend with commuter peak hour", Stadium General Manager, Paul Sergeant said today.
He also encouraged patrons to plan ahead and buy their tickets online, to ensure quick entry and a guaranteed seat for the traditional Queensland Rugby League "local derby".
Mr Sergeant reminded patrons with pre-purchased tickets that they can travel free to and from the Stadium on QR Citytrain and Brisbane Transport bus services. Tickets can be purchased online enabling patrons to print their ticket at home or work (visit www.ticketek.com.aufor more information).
Patrons should also:
Extend their Journey Time: Leave for your destination at least 45 minutes earlier than you might have in the past, to ensure you arrive in time for the 7.30pm kick-off.
Be Informed: Visit www.translink.com.au or call 13 12 30 to get all of the latest public transport information.
