There has been an overwhelming response in the Membership Packages at Suncorp
Stadium launched yesterday by the Acting Premier and Minister for Sport, Mr Terry
The 3,000 Stadium Memberships give Queenslanders the opportunity to guarantee
their seat in one of the best sporting arenas in the country.
According to Geoff Jones, IMGs General Manager and the Project Director for
Suncorp Stadium Memberships Sales, the phones have been running hot all day with
more than 250 memberships taken up in the first day. This confirms the view that the
package is one of the best memberships on offer.
"I have been involved in selling numerous membership packages for a variety of
sporting venues and events across Australia and I am yet to see such a comprehensive
and value for money package. The response has been terrific, with hundreds of calls
and over 250 memberships accounted for already." said Mr Jones.
With three levels of membership and affordability, the package has appeal to
dedicated football fans, as well as small, medium and large businesses alike.
The Suncorp Stadium Membership packages have been divided into three levels:
Platinum, Gold and Silver and are available for a period of five years with a
guaranteed membership renewal option.
"The membership packages include an establishment fee (from $2,750) plus an annual
subscription fee (from $1,320). This membership ensures the owner a premium
position in comfortable seats in a dedicated member area within the new eastern stand
of the Stadium.
"Designated Members areas such as entrances, lounges and restaurants will ensure
that a Stadium Member not only has the best seats in the house but access to some of
the best facilities within this world-class venue," he said.
According to Mr Jones, Stadium Members will have the same seats at every Broncos
home game, State of Origin match, and international rugby union and rugby league
test matches played at Suncorp Stadium (excluding Rugby World Cup 2003).
"Every time you come into the Stadium you will know where you will be sitting,"
Also for this year, Suncorp Stadium has negotiated an option for its members to purchase a Rugby World Cup 2003 package as an addition to the membership. This
will entitle members to Category A seating for all nine games to be played at the
Stadium including two Quarter Finals.
"The Rugby World Cup 2003 option will guarantee Suncorp Stadium members
Category A seats for all matches played at the Stadium. This opportunity alone is
expected to attracted a lot of attention," said Mr Jones.
"The interest we have already received regarding the Stadium packages shows us that
Queenslanders are really excited about being a part of this world-class Stadium which
will host some of the biggest sporting events in the world this year and in years to
come," he said.
