Queensland's premier sporting venue, Suncorp Stadium has commenced its event day staff recruitment campaign.

Suncorp Stadium Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Donaghy, said today about 300 staff would be required to undertake a range of duties from when the Stadium opens in June this year.

"We are initially recruiting ushers, turnstile attendants, car parking attendants, lift attendants, information attendants, call centre attendants, event supervisors and administration assistants."

Mr Donaghy said the range of responsibilities provided opportunities for both first time jobseekers and those with a number of years experience in the service, entertainment and sports industries.

"We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, focused, friendly, and are team-players. Communications skills, such as the ability to approach the customer and anticipate their needs, would also be highly regarded," he said.

Mr Donaghy said the venue manager, Ogden IFC aimed to provide a unique event experience for the people of Queensland at Suncorp Stadium.

"Our ability to deliver on that commitment will depend heavily on how staff responds to the needs of our patrons.
