Paul McCartney In Concert 9th December

Rock and roll royalty, Sir Paul McCartney will make a much awaited return to Brisbane when he performs at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday, 9th December.

The three hour show is part of his “One on One” world tour and will be the Grammy and Academy Award winner’s first visit to Brisbane since touring with Wings in 1975, and The Beatles in 1964.

As one of the greatest singer-songwriters in history, McCartney’s influence and popularity spans more than six decades and he is truly the voice of a generation. As one half of the Lennon-McCartney duo which gave us pop classic after classic, McCartney then reinvented himself as both a solo artist and front-man for Wings which dominated the 1970’s as the Beatles did in the 60’s.

Artists today continue to pay him the ultimate compliment by covering songs he wrote and recorded with the Beatles and Wings. Dave Grohl’s cover of “Band on the Run” at the White House in front of both McCartney and then President Obama a few years back is testament to the respect and admiration they have for him.
