In a major sporting coup for Brisbane, Suncorp Stadium will host a semi-final AND the final of Rugby League World Cup 2017.

Details of the RLWC 2017 draw were announced today. On hand for the announcement were the captains of Papua New Guinea (David Mead), Australia (Cameron Smith) and New Zealand (Jesse Bromwich).

The semi-final will be played on Friday 24th November 2017 with the final the following Saturday, 2nd December 2017.

Queensland also secured six additional pool games - three in Townsville and three in Cairns.
