Suncorp Stadium has always placed great importance on providing services and facilities for patrons with disabilities. The venue rivals the best football stadiums in the world in catering for patrons with a disability.

Suncorp Stadium has worked with Autism Spectrum Australia to develop a Visual Story to help prepare people coming to the venue particularly for those who haven't attended before.

Patrons can purchase Accessible Tickets online via Ticketek by selecting the Accessible filter to view the Accessible Ticketing types available for that event.

Popular events will sell out quickly.

Patrons also have the option of submitting a request via the Ticketek Accessible Ticket booking form or by contacting the Ticketek Accessibility Line on 1300665915.

BUS SERVICES

Transport for Brisbane (TfB) provides dedicated shuttle bus services between the city (Ann St, opposite Central Station) and major suburban centres. TfB bus fleet is 100% wheelchair accessible. Bus Route Map

On arrival at Suncorp Stadium bus station, customer service officers are available to assist patrons to access the bus station lift to the Southern Plaza (Milton Road end). 

RAIL SERVICES

Patrons in wheelchairs or with a walking disability can use Citytrain services to and from Central Station and proceed to Anzac Square on Ann Street to connect with a shuttle bus directly to and from the Stadium.

Patrons with a disability should call Translink on 13 12 30 should they require assistance with making the train to bus transfer.

MAXI-TAXI AND CAR DROP OFFS

There are two set-down and pick-up zones, suitable for maxi-taxis and cars carrying people with a disability. These are located at Castlemaine Street (near Chippendall Street) and Caxton Steet (between Hale Street and Castlemaine Street). Maxi-taxis can also use the taxi rank in Castlemaine Street near Caxton Street.

After events, up to 10 vehicles, including maxi-taxis, are able to wait in these zones for people with disabilities exiting the Stadium.

On event days, a limited amount of parking is available on Castlemaine and Cordova Streets for the holders of Queensland Disability Parking Permits and Australian Disability Parking Permits. Staff are positioned in Cordova, Castlemaine and Chippendall Streets to then assist patrons with a disability to gain access to the Stadium. An accessibility ticket to an event does not guarantee a parking space at the Stadium. 

Due to the limited amount of spaces available, the venue runs a lottery to ensure everyone has a chance to access these spaces.

Patrons with Queensland Disability Parking Permits and Australian Disability Parking Permits can enter the lottery and entrants will be notified the week before an event whether or not they have been successful in securing a park.

Suncorp Stadium has two (2) registered Changing Places to help allow people with high support needs to participate in all elements of community life, without having to limit their time out due to concerns about being able to access a suitable toilet.
The Changing Places facility at Suncorp Stadium allows external access for the community on non-event days and internal access for patrons requiring high physical support during events.

Open times

Non-Event Days

  • 24-hour External Access via an MLAK key via the Northern / Caxton Street end of the Stadium
  • No internal Access
 

Event Days

  • External Access is closed from 0000-2359

  • Internal Access available for patrons during the event who hold an MLAK key via the internal, Level 3 concourse on the Northern/Caxton Street end of the venue

  • The Level 5 Changing Places can be accessed via the concourse opposite the Milton Room.
 


The Changing Places facility features:
 

  • A powered height-adjustable adult-sized change table

  • A constant-charging ceiling track hoist system

  • A centrally-located peninsula accessible toilet

  • Circulation spaces as defined in the Changing Places Design Specification 2020

  • An internal and external automatic door with a clear opening operated via a MLAK key

  • A privacy screen.

  • Accessible shower

Suncorp Stadium has a dedicated parent’s room on the Level 3 north concourse. This room is accessible to patrons who require it during events. Patrons can request access from the staff on the Information Desk at the Northern end of the venue on Level 3.

The parent’s room consists of:

  • an accessible bathroom with child amenities
  • bottle and feed warming facilities
  • private feeding room
  • baby change tables and;
  • a play area.

Suncorp Stadium has a Quiet Room for anyone who needs to take a break from the sensory or social environment. A Quiet Room is a safe space for people to go if they become overwhelmed during events.

The Suncorp Stadium Quiet Room has:

  • different spaces that have curtains for privacy
  • sensory items
  • comfortable seating
  • communication board/cards
  • supportive trained staff


Located on Level 3 inside Gate A on the Milton Road / Southern end of the venue - the Suncorp Stadium Quiet room will open from Gates and remain open until 30 minutes after the conclusion of the event. 

To access the Quiet Room patrons need to knock on the door and a Suncorp Stadium staff member will let them into the room. If unattended, please see the attendant at the Level 3 South Information Desk for access.

The sunflower program has been introduced at Suncorp Stadium.

The sunflower is a globally recognised symbol for non-visible disabilities, also known as hidden disabilities or invisible disabilities. Patrons may choose to wear a lanyard throughout an event to discreetly identify to venue staff that they may need extra help, time or guidance.

If you need additional assistance, please approach one of the staff who have a Sunflower lanyard or pin. If you don’t have a Sunflower lanyard, a free lanyard can be collected from staff at the information stands and corporate entrances.
