Suncorp Stadium will be able to host up to 12 concerts per year on a permanent basis, following public consultation on proposed regulation changes.

The concert cap at the venue was temporarily lifted from six concerts to 12 concerts per calendar year for 2023 and 2024, to capitalise on post-covid enthusiasm from audiences and concert promoters.

This change will be made permanent from 2025.

Through the consultation, more than 81 per cent of respondents either agreed or strongly agreed that Suncorp Stadium should be permitted to hold up to 12 concerts per year on a permanent basis. More than 60 per cent specified they would like to see more than 12 concerts per year.

Importantly, more than 75 per cent of respondents who identified as living in the Lang Park Traffic Area were supportive of the proposal for Suncorp Stadium to host 12 concerts per year.
