It only takes a minute to donate life

Suncorp Stadium is lighting up this weekend to mark the end of DonateLife Week. The week long campaign aims to encourage Queenslanders to register as an organ and tissue donor at donatelife.gov.au.

Former Broncos and State of Origin player, Gavin Allen, knows all too well how lifesaving organ donation truly is. Gavin received a heart transplant in late 2018 after experiencing heart failure from a hereditary condition. Before his transplant Gavin, part of the premier-ship wining Broncos of 1992, could barely walk 10 metres before being out of breath. A selfless organ donor saved Gavin’s life.

Gavin now gets to live out life with his family, seeing his children grow up and enjoying daily morning walks with his former Broncos teammates. Signing up only takes a minute, get it done today!
