Another successful grow light season!

As we come to the end of winter, this week we thank and retire our Suncorp Stadium grow lights for another year.

The 6 large lighting rigs, each illuminating 360m2, have been deployed on non-match days since the first week of April in the northern half of the field, from the in-goals to the north 40m line. These lights replicate sunlight, helping the grass photosynthesise due to the lacking natural sunlight in the winter months. 🌱

The grow lights have been such an integral part of the Stadium’s turf management program led by Grounds Manager Matthew Oliver, so much so the turf at the northern end of the field has been a stand-out performer throughout our massive event schedule!
